X.4333- LE CARBONE BRUSHES FOR GOSHAWKAero EngineCodename for 20HP Car / Aero Engine after KestrelAero Engine DYNAMO.

Referring to the letter ref.1676/P.2457 just received from Le Carbone, together with sample pigtail conductor with small bead insulation, having looked into this we consider that this is a suitable type of pigtail conductor and insulation for our main order. Will you therefore kindly make arrangements accordingly.

With reference to the 250 brushes constituting the previous delivery, some of which were likely to be faulty, these will be incorrect for our standard in several respects :-

(1) Size and insulation of conductor.
(2) Depth of brush.
(3) Absence of controlling slot on top of brush.

We do not think Messrs. Le Carbone would take these back and we suggest they should be carefully inspected for faulty pigtails (possibility of pigtails pulling out) and the good ones can be used on the first few dynamos in case the succeeding order does not arrive in time for our needs.
