ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. 8152 12-3 1913 To Mr Normald Order No. Customer's No. X134 Re AW/SM13/L6313 There is only one light axle on the road & this has not been altered. I wanted to get all the experience with the running gear of this axle possible, as I found the alteration required to strengthen up axle meant new parts throughout to all except the running gear. I had not overlooked the alteration but the rush of work caused by new 4 speed box & change Levers had to take precedence of alteration to axle. The alteration meant new Torque Tubes, New axle tubes, new axle boxes, new housings for bearings, new Part-lists & new arrangement drawings. These latter are now in hand at present. Signed DMMB This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
