Dear Withers,

Having been away for the last ten days you probably would like to be kept up to date as to what has taken place, - not that there is very much to tell you. I hope you have noted that I have not troubled you on the telephone once, because probably by the time you got home you were dead to the World.

However, I hope you have had a very successful Show.

I called on you one day last week but unfortunately missed you. at the show

I went to see about the Clock, but was not impressed.

However, this is being arranged.

I saw Webb who is satisfied that everything is going on quite all right.

I had a talk with Almond of F.{Mr Friese} & W. and he yesterday sent down panels, sample of the colour of the body, also patterns of leather for upholstery work and patterns of carpet. Likewise, he is sending today the lay-oup for the dashboard and he is coming down at 4 o'clock on Monday, as I understand he wants to go into various small details. He is also bringing one or two specimens of Clocks, so you see that during your absence we have tried to get forward with details and I have written to you from time to time giving you various information.
