Contract with Firths for the supply of laminated road springs and decisions required for testing.

Our Contract with Firths provides that they are to be in a position to supply laminated road springs to us by approximately 1st January next, and their arrangements are being made to comply with this, but in the event of our requiring supplies earlier, I am sure Firths will do all they can to assist us.

There are two matters which I think should be immediately considered and decided upon:-

(a) Will springs to the prints and of the poundages above-mentioned serve our purpose for testing out, or do we wish to substitute other designs and other poundages for same.

(b) Will it help us if Firths make the three sets of springs by more primitive means.

Perhaps you will let me have a decision with regard to these matters.
