1097 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}6/MH.{M. Huckerby} 27th. January, 1939. Vauxhall Motors Ltd., LUTON. For the attention of Mr. Taub. Dear Sirs, We would be very much obliged if you would advise us as to what, in your opinion, is the most satisfactory method of measuring cylinder bore wear, and the make of instrument thus employed. You may remember that the writer spent a few days in your Experimental Dept. last year in connection with "fuel economy". Further to cylinder bore wear, you will probably have seen the very interesting report by Wing Commander Helmore entitled "Experiments on the Corrosive Wear of Lubricated Surfaces". Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
