For the attention of J.L. Edwards Esq.
Dear Mr.Edwards,
Thank you for your letter of February 14th.
I had no idea that fitting a thermostat to my Bentley would be such a troublesome business. I thought that it would be possible to fit up the standard thermostat arrangement used on the later cars, and the reason for my letter was actually to get your permission to alter the car from standard.
I certainly do not want to put you to any trouble at all in the matter, but the next time I am at Derby if you could spare me a few minutes for a short discussion I should be grateful.
Yours sincerely,
W.Martin-Hurst.
