1328 Sle Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}9/GH.29.2.40. 29th February 1940. The British Thermostat Co. Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex. Dear Mr. Martin-Hurst, Many thanks for your letter of the 19th instant which has just come to hand. With regard to fitting a thermostat to your Bentley we shall be only too pleased to have the opportunity of talking the matter over with you when you next visit Derby, and possibly we could arrange to let you have the standard pieces you would require for the modification. If then you cared to have any special pieces made up, we should have no objections to your altering the car from standard. We must apologise for our inability to help you to the extent we should wish, but you will appreciate the disruption in chassis work which the war has caused. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
