Experimental schemes involving spiral mechanisms, actuator boxes, and switches.

On the whole it is considered that the most promising scheme will probably be the 5° spiral with the actuator box operated switch, together with rubber buffer, and we should like to have been able to have experimented on this arrangement first, but from an inspection of the progress of the parts for these experiments, we see that the first scheme which will be in readiness will be the 20° spiral with pinion operated switch and rubber buffer. This will evidently be ready very shortly now but we trust that in the meanwhile you will have the question looked into of providing the other necessary parts for the remainder of the experiments. We hand you herewith the two actuator boxes complete with switches which will be required for the purpose of these experiments. EFC. | ||
