EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}11/JH.              4th. May, 1939.

The S.U. Carburetter Co.Ltd.,
Adderley Park,
BIRMINGHAM.8.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to our further experience on the H.4. carburetters.

You will note that the piston guide is now riveted to the throttle body where previously on the H.V.5. (4 1/4 litre Bentley) these were held by a screw.

We find that these guides easily come loose with vibration, and today we have had one go through an engine.

Will you please look into this detail, with a view to improving the fitting of the guides.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
