-2- Sub-paragraph (g) Fan Belts. 50 came yesterday and we expect 500 more this week; there are to replace the condemned fibre belts. Sub-paragraph (o) More Room for Test Dept. Cancel sub-paragraph (c) of Minute (1) of yesterday's date and replace with the following - "Mr. Rodman's office was moved last week-end. The Blue Print Room will be moved into its permanent place this week-end. This will give Mr. Platford more room, that is to say, two test houses." Sub-paragraph (d) Crane for Test Dept. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} reported that lengthening gantry and supplying three cranes for Test Dept. would cost about £1300. This matter was referred again to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} and Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} and they were asked to put into pounds, shillings and pence, how much would be saved per week in labour, if these cranes were installed. Sub-paragraph (e) Pit required in Test Dept. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} stated that the pit would cost about £170. This question was left open until Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} had seen what difference it would make to the amount of room available in Test Dept. now that the aero engines are being taken away to No.2 Shop. | ||
