Attached is a sample section of the Goodrich Rubber Fan Belt mentioned in ROY{Sir Henry Royce}7/MG13.12.29.

The Goodrich Company claim that it is heat-resisting. It is made in one complete unit, is stretchless, oil and grease resisting and runs noiselessly. in addition it is considerably cheaper than the link type leather belt.

The section sent is:

Mould No. ......... 235
Width at top of "V" 11/16"
Depth .............. 1/2"
Outside Circumference 47.391
Inside ............. 44.25
Angle of "V" ....... 28°

and they will gladly make up another mould and submit any section to suit our particular Pulleys if we are interested.

They claim this Belt is standard equipment on practically all the main cars in the States, and in this country on:

Willys Overland, Crossley
Leyland
Thornycroft
Ford
Humber
Singer
General Motors
Citroen
Vauxhall
Hudson Essex
Guildford Motors, and

Will you try out samples? If so please say if you want the same section as sample herewith, or what section you do want.
