We are pleased to confirm the recent visit of our Representative Mr. A.{Mr Adams} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Saunders, who had the pleasure of discussing with you the question of Longlife "V" Type Fan Belts for the Rolls Royce Car. About twelve months ago we made up and submitted to you an experimental belt, but we cannot trace having received a report upon the result which it gave. We still have the mould for producing this belt particulars of which are as follows:- Mould No. ............ 235 Width at top of "V" .... 11/16" .600" Depth ................. 1/2" Outside circumference ... 47.391 Inside circumference .... 44.25 Angle of "V" ............ 28º 28° It is possible however, that your fan drives might have been altered since this mould was made, in which case a new mould might be necessary to produce a belt for testing purposes. Perhaps therefore, you will be kind enough to furnish us with a Blue Print of the fan installations on your various models when we shall be delighted to look into the question to see whether a new mould contd.....
