the top ½", and outwards at the bottom about 1". This gives the body a lighter top appearance and less top hamper. In view of our subsequent move to rubber mounting it is essential on any other bodies you build that room for this mounting should be provided.

Another point of difficulty is in connection with the filter on the side of the chassis frame. Unfortunately on this chassis, as we have already told you, the filter is being moved to a position on the second cross member, but had the filter on the side of the chassis frame been in position on the dummy chassis as it will be on production chassis which you will receive, this body would have fouled it by ½".

We are making an endeavour to mount the body by some means or other and hope we shall succeed, but whatever we do, the result will not be a satisfactory job and the car may be spoiled due to this defective mounting.
