Modifications to the 'Myth Frame' design, replacing previous plans.

1030 To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [Struck through] c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. [Struck through] c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. [Struck through] Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}10/JH.7.11.40 727 re Myth Frame. In our Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/JH.8.10.40. we issued to you PL.363 and PL.364 shewing a frame for Myth, with power units M.40 and BM.40 respectively. It has since been decided to make certain changes in the frame design, and we now send you PL.393 and PL.394 (originals to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH) which replace PL.363 and PL.364 respectively. The modifications consist of the following features :- a.{Mr Adams} Addition of a servo to the gearbox. b. Replacement of the 'A' member by a cross in the frame. c. The moving back in plan of the point where the side channel commences to slope in, to a point close to the centre pillar of the body. d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Adding gussets between the side channel and the frame cross in the vicinity of each of the body brackets. All of the above were effected after consultation with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG. From Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames}2/JH.1.11.40. it will be seen that this revised frame, with a cross is thesame weight as that originally designed on PL.363/4 with an 'A' member. As we have used the originals of PL.363 and PL.364 to produce PL.393 and PL.394 respectively, will Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. please arrange to have tracings made from blue prints of the former so that our records of original tracings may be complete.
