The various faults noted during the 50,000 miles running were discussed by Mr.Ward, Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/JD{J. Draper - Frames}, and Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} The following is a summary of the interview. (1) Vanvooren Seats. These were partially dismantled and their construction examined and noted. They will use the information obtained as a guide in making the seats for 11.B.V. and 12.B.V. (2) Water leaks round windscreen. They told us that an improvement to the rubber seal has been made. (Obsolete type of felt seal). (3) Rattles from Sliding Roof. These are noticeable at the front edge when the roof is open. (4) Sun visors. This particular type has already been turned down. (It is agreed already that these are obsolete). (5) Acess for filling rear axle. An alteration to the floor of the boot will be necessary. (6) Rear doors. These are not draught tight round the wheel arches. Snow blew in badly during the winter running. Rubber sealing is required here. | ||
