(7) Doors lock themselves too easily with combined handles and locks. Separate locks are to be used. (We query this. Matter for Sales).

(8) O.S.R. window winder failed.

This is not a general fault but should be investigated when the body is examined.

(9) Wheelarch support bracket bolts.

These require to be reversed and the minimum number of washers used at the lower end of the floatex to give max. possible clearance for the rear road springs on full bump.
(Nuts on top. Bolt head below).

(10) Centre pillar distorted at bottom hinges.

This occurs from the reaction of the check strap when the door is wide open. Local reinforcement of the pillar is required.

(11) Rubber strips on luggage platform.

These are not satisfactory as they have come adrift. An alternative scheme is required.

(12) Visibility in driving mirror poor.

The standardised body will have a larger rear window than 8.B.V. The mirror position should be studied. Mr. Ward showed an interesting two mirror scheme on his Bentley.
(Mirror on screen capping is usual practice)
(Mr. Evernden wrote about this).

They do not consider it necessary to send 8.B.V. body to London when it is removed, but would like to send their representative to Derby to examine it, particularly the rear quarters under the trimming. We should notify them when it is ready.
