" " The radiator medallion is filled in red, and this is generally the only red on the car. Artistically this may, and often is, considered to be wrong. On R's car - 27-EX. - we filled it in black, since black is on most cars and is no colour at all, and therefore does not clash with any colour. Could we not standardise a black fitting? Allied to this is the medallion covering the end of the starting handle tube. This is of brass and has RR. on it all painted black. On 27-EX. we plated this and then painted it, only leaving the RR. polished nickel. We feel that if Rr. is there it might be well to have it polished on a coloured ground to suit the paintwork. Can we have this as standard? Both of these features are illustrated on the front view photograph of 27-EX. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
