Re- Radiator Medallion, etc.

DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Evl/M181230. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has asked me to reply to this, and to inform you that we have <s>been considering the black medallion</s> am decided some days ago to adopt this for the front of the radiator on the 40/50 h.p. and to leave it red on the 20/25 h.p. as one of the few external distinguishing features between the two, and the Works have already been instructed accordingly.

With regard to the medallion covering the end of the starting handle tube, the opinions of Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}C., PN{Mr Northey} and Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} are unanimous that we do not require this additional label on R-R products, when one considers that R-R is advertised on the radiator medallion and on the hub caps and some other parts of the chassis. It is therefore not required that this starting handle tube medallion should be in polished nickel on a colored ground; in fact Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} would not mind if this medallion was left blank and did not even have R-R on it at all.
