Sound Insulation For Bodies
used by Van Voorens.

We enclose samples obtained, the first three are "Seapak" supplied by Fenwick, 8 Rue du Rocroy, Paris, and manufactured by the Seaman Paper Company of Chicago. Fenwick's catalogue is also enclosed. The samples are as follows:-

N° 1. "Seapak" Type "L" aluminised, which has a fairly good resistence to water, oil, petrol, etc.

N° 2. "Seapak" Type "C.I." which can only be used in dry places, also not very durable if subject to abrasion.

N° 3. "Seapak" Type "I.N." asphaled, which is fairly impervious to moisture and durable.

N° 4. Normal felt as used by Van Voorens.

N° 5. Under carpet felt used in some cases.

N° 6. Under carpet material where limited for thickness used in some instances for fixed carpets.

In all cases, best aviation glue is used.

We were shown the latest Bentley body at Van Voorens which is nearing completion, and give a detailed description of the insulation used on the various parts.
