FOOT-WELLS.

Made in aluminium. Covered all over on underside with asbestos sheet held in position by an aluminium framework. No 3 "Seapak" type "I.N." asphalted, stuck all over upper side of wells under carpets.

FLOORBOARDS.

All other floorboards, side-boards, and board under rear seats covered with No 4 felt on upper sides and No 3 "Seapak" type "I.N." asphalted, on under sides.

ROOF & REAR QUARTERS.

Covered all over on inside with No 2 "Seapak" type "C.I." In some cases where sliding roofs are fitted and clearance is limited, No 3 "Seapak" type "I.N." asphalted is used for the head.

LUGGAGE BOOT.

Floor covered with felt on upper side, and No 3 "seapak" type "I.N." asphalted on underside. Side panels covered with No 2 "Seapak" type "C.I."

PETROL TANK.

Upper side covered all over with No I "Seapak" type "I".

At present the only parts not covered are the inside of the bonnet and the door panels. There is a plastic material available, applied by a spray gun which should have a practical use for these places, but Van Voorens have not yet experimented with it. It could also be applied to all places in contact with the chassis as it would remain in place better than a layer of material.

It was noted in this connection that the sideboards which carry the floorboards, seats and rear of luggage boot, are bolted direct to the chassis with an interlayer of absorbent material, and that the silent-blocs used are between the side pillars and these sideboards, two being fitted to each pillar, one above and one below the sideboard.
