Will you please issue a scheme for a gauze filter on the water pump inlet pipe line on 25/30 HP. and Bentley cars on the lines of that recently standardised on Ph.III. cars. We find that there are occasional complaints of damage to the water pump rotors on 25/30. and Bentley cars owing to solder becoming detached from the radiator bottom tank and entering the pump. We should like this scheme in time to get it on 6.B.1V. car which is going to France in 3 - 4 weeks time. We think that the cheapest and simplest scheme is that which we ran on 35-EX. i.e. a gauze cap pushed over the pump inlet and held in place by the rubber hose connection, which vulcanises itself to the gauze filter (this can be seen clearly on 35-EX. water connections.)
