Bentley - Cylinder Block & Head with Improved Cores.

Herewith:

LeC.5717 - Modification to Cyl. Block and Head to improve cores.

LeC.5742 - Water Pump Connection for LeC.5717.

Advanced prints of these designs were sent for detailing at an earlier date, and the work on the Block etc. is already well in hand.

It should be noted that the modified cylinder head is the Experimental Increased Area Inlet Port Head to LeC.5367.

The modifications to the cylinder block and water connection shown on designs are applicable to production cylinder blocks for 25/30 HP. and Bentley engines.

It is hoped that the altered cores in the cylinder block will enable a much improved system of core venting to be adopted and so reduce the present high proportion of porous castings to a negligable quantity.
