Bentley Petrol Pipes. -------------------- We have moved the petrol pipes over to the offside of the car to get them away from the hot expansion boxes, as shown on LeC.3490 and LeC.3491, which we send you herewith. On drawing LeC.3490 the run of the pipes have been designed, keeping in mind that the hot spot silencer may be necessary. When this silencer is not fitted the pipes can be simplified by bringing them underneath the gearbox crossmember. On LeC.3491 the petrol pipes are brought across the front of the dashboard and then downwards close to the wiring conduit. The conduit has been moved slightly to make this possible, and the hole in the dashboard for the wiring has been put in such a position that the spannering of the petrol connecting unions should not damage the wires.
