Referring to your recommendation relative to the dismantling of 9-EX, I am wondering whether the same recommendation should not be made in regard to 14-EX.
This car, if I recollect correctly, is sort of half P.I and half P.II and on this account alone could never be sold.
Your last list, Hsl/B.2.1.31 said that it was in use for the development of helical third speed gear and Salerni coupling to be used for experiments of epicyclic gearbox and other gearbox improvements.
The point really is: Do you still want this car and would any experimental work done on this EX gearbox be really of use in view of the fact that the car itself is of a non-standard type?
What I have in mind really is that, if experimental work of this nature has to be done in relation to a 40/50, then surely it is much better done on one of the existing complete P.II experimental cars, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}
