Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} e to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}19/HR.2.4.37. re PETROL PUMPS. 31st ult., in reference to the latest G5. type petrol pumps. We shall be glad to have a little further information, particularly in regard to the following:- 1. The total number of pumps which have proved defective. 2. How many of these were due to leaks from the diaphragms. 3. How many were due to leaks from the plugs. 4. How many complaints of delivery. We ask the foregoing because the Order Office records show that only five of the latest type DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1032 Bentley pumps have had to be returned to the S.U. Company during the last three months for rectification of any defect. There were, however, eighteen 25/30 HP. and Ph.III pumps returned during the same period. Possibly Kingsbury have returned some defective pumps direct to the S.U. Company, and we should therefore not know about them. Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SBs | ||
