To Wox. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} without first freeing all the parts with paraffin, owing to lack of proper protection. Presumably it is not difficult to deal with this. In the same report the electrical petrol pump was stated to refuse to function arising apparently out of the use of Esso petrol which left some deposit gumming up the valves, and as this Esso petrol is probably the best and most used in France, it will become a serious source of trouble if the petrol supply after a few thousand miles ceases to function. PETROL TANK. The difficulty of filling the last two gallons still exists. There is also a point which sounds objectionable where it says: 'The feed from the petrol pump has to be checked for the last four gallons or petrol gushes out of the filler pipe.' SPRINGING AND DAMPING and the mild criticism on Page 9. Is there anything that we can hope to do prior to our getting hand operated control? Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
