Derby.

Attention of Mr. Leslie.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of the 10th inst., we very much regret that we do not quite understand your comments.

level indicator (handwritten)

We have been in communication with your Mr. Martindale regarding an oil [strikethrough] for Mr. Hall's car, and have supplied various parts, as per our letter of 20th ult., from this you will note it is not possible to use the larger (82 m.m.) meter with the single wire type sump unit.

Furthermore, we are unable to trace the drawing X71118 to which you refer. This does not appear to be one of our drawings numbers and we shall be glad therefore if you will either send us the drawing referred to, or let us have further information in order that we may assist you in clearing up this matter.

Yours faithfully,

for S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD
