Re Steering Wobbles.

With reference to Palmer tyres and steering wobbles, I have always pointed out since our discovery here two years ago, that slow speed steering wobbles was entirely a question of the lean of the steering pivots. This can always be corrected for a few shillings, and we do not propose to complain of customers using 6" or 7" Palmer tyres on that account.
With reference to high speed steering wobbles, this is entirely a question of out of balance of the wheels, which must either be corrected by putting on better tyres, or by fitting balance weights. I see no reason to depart from this decision, and we have proved that it exists on all chassis which have free steering, and is not confined to ours only.
With reference to the account for Mr Wm. Whiteley's car, No.2015E, of £11 - 2 - 0, I should consider that, unless the car was an old one and had been running 40,000 or 50,000 miles, this work had been very badly managed. We have not found a case where it was necessary to take down the steering gear to take up a slack in the steering nut, but the steering wear has almost always been confined to the
