Messrs. Ferodo Ltd.,
Chapel-en-le-Frith.

29th. October 1937.

For the attention of Mr. Longley.

Dear Sirs,

We must apologise for the delay in replying to your letter of the 18th. inst., but the writer has been away for a short time, and your letter had been overlooked.

We thank you for your offer to discuss the question of fan belt manufacture etc., and we think that in view of the fact that your project is far from maturity, the best thing would be for the writer to come over to your works the next time that our Mr. Martindale or Mr. Chandler are visiting you, in order to discuss this matter. We will, of course, give you adequate notice of when this is likely to be.

The writer has a number of specifications and samples of American belts which may be of interest.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
