Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}. 1128 AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson}6/P.24.4.40. You will remember that recently when I saw the Admiralty at Bath they mentioned that a Speed-limit Device or governor would be useful on a Marine Engine. I found there was a Scintilla Vertex Magneto fitted with such a device, and later inquired of the Admiralty if they approved of this magneto. Today I have received a letter, part of which reads as follows:- "The Scintilla Vertex Magneto with speed limiting device has been tested by us at West Drayton, and we are very satisfied with it. I should strongly recommend fitting such a device if at all possible to your Marine Engine." Why not on the B.80 ? AA.{D. Abbot-Anderson} Al. | ||
