Dear Sirs,

Your Reference:- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HFP.1/JH.

We thank you for your letter of the 1st instant, enclosing drawing Nos.FB.4717/8/9, and have been going into this matter meanwhile.

Before putting forward our recommendations we should like to know if the Thrust Washer is essential or if the Thrust can be taken on the case.

If you decide the Washer is necessary, we would suggest this should be 1/16" thick owing to it being very narrow, but if the area can be increased, we think it will be possible to use a Washer 1/32" only, and on receipt of your reply we shall be pleased to go further into the matter.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
VANDERVELL PRODUCTS LIMITED.
