INSTRUCTIONS. 11717 To: Mr Royce Order No.: Customer's No.: X2B Re: Double Brakes Herewith please receive G2175 showing alteration made in fulcrum pins. There is however a point at issue in connection with this new scheme that I think will require consideration. When the brake is applied the shoe (due to its frictional grip on the drum) will tend to locate the wheel sideways off of the brake bracket as its fixed member, when however the Bearings are good it will only be a tendency, but if the Bearings wear then the sideway movement of wheel will when the brake is applied actually locate the central be taken up on the fulcrum pin. It therefore occurs to me that we either require the central collar or new scheme will need to be made much stronger laterally. Signed: This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. R | ||
