We have wired you today as follows.
Rear axle failing. Car proceeded to PARIS for investigations.
Report later.

We have of late noticed a growl from the rear axle, on this morning's run this became very bad and when car returned to garage we observed that there was considerable play in the gear pinion housing, also a very bad oil leak from the O.S. rear wheel.
We decided to send the car up to Paris for examination as it means the whole of the axle being stripped, we have no tackle for that job here. I am preceeding up to Paris in the morning and will report from there what is found wrong.

We have today received the bracket for the battery box.
We shall fit this on whilst the car is in Paris.

G.W.Hancock.
