Customer's No. X3534 Brush Gear on Goshawk Motor No. 4. It is required to retard the brushes on this motor, about 4°; that is, nearly one third of a commutator segment. To do this, it will be necessary to slot the holes on the end bracket to the right of the screws, so as to allow the brush-gear to be moved round in the same direction as the armature rotates. E.F.C.
