To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC. c. to By/WER. c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X4384 EFC1/T2.3.22. RE SETTING OF BRUSHES ON GOSHAWK MOTOR. The correct position for the brush setting on this motor is now standardised and is equivalent to retarding all the brushes 4°, or 1/3 of a commutator segment from the position given in the latest instructions, in which the connections to the commutator were advanced one segment. This means that from that position the brushes have to be moved in the direction of rotation by the above amount, leaving the connections of the commutator as at present arranged; or alternatively move the commutator against rotation by this amount.
