Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/AD. December 21st, 1931. Sir Dennis Burney, Bart. Broadway Court, 8, Broadway, Westminster, S.W.1. Dear Sir Dennis, Many thanks for your letter of the 17th inst. Unfortunately, we cannot get away until the 13th and as the "Homeric" is not sailing we are having to take the next British boat which is the "Baltic" on the 16th. We shall undoubtedly be in Detroit before the end of the month and shall hope to see you there. I do not know when or where you are reading your paper but should very much like to be there if it can be arranged. We are also glad that you are going to give us a further opportunity of trying your latest Pullman before you sail. I do not know whether you are doing anything on the continent but one of our engineers W. Parsons, who was with us for about 20 years, is now on his own out there and is very friendly with Hodgkiss who are at present doing remarkably well, I believe. I gave him my impressions of the car and he was very keen to put it up to Ainsworth. In case he is likely to be of any use to you his address is - 115 Champs-Elysees, Paris. He knows all the R.R. clientelend" in France. Kind regards. Yours sincerely, | ||
