Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited., DERBY. Attention Mr. F.Ll Smith. Dear Sirs, We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 5th inst and in reply thereto would advise that the two Model 10.A6 Clutches recently returned to us for bringing up to date were despatched per passenger train last night, and we trust are now safely in your hands. In regard to your remarks relative to the release lever setting, would advise that the usual care was taken in this regard. We also acknowledge your confirmation relative to the sample of S.82 Steel that same is quite satisfactory and suitable for use as eyebolts for fitment to Clutches which you are now taking. With reference to the concluding paragraph of your letter we note that you require complete 10.A6 Ventilated Clutch incorporating modification which gives extra bearing area for the pressure plate lugs, as discussed between us during the recent visit to your Works and also in conjunction with same you require a Driven Plate Assembly incorporating Cross Cushion Segments having .045" Cushion and faced with moulded material. We take it that this particular Driven Plate will be compared with similar type Plate we now have in hand, as ordered last Tuesday and in which .050" cushion was called for. Yours faithfully, BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} T. Barker. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} T. Barker. | ||
