INDIA TYRES.

We are forwarding to you one of the 'India' covers and tubes off Major Segrave's car.

This cover is about 1 lb. 6 ozs. out of balance at the rim radius, which is equivalent to an out of balance of almost 200 ins. ozs. The limit we give the Dunlop Co., on the 32 x 6.75" tyre cover is 67" ozs.

The "India" tube is also 30.000 ins. ozs. out of balance and we consider that this is excessive.

The four other covers on Major Segrave's car were not within our limits but we have succeeded in balancing them with great difficulty.

Will you please take the matter up with the Car Mart.

Will MX.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} please see that 'India' tyres fitted to customers cars are given the same test as Dunlop covers for out of balance. If incorrect, they should be returned to the makers.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}
