Chassis 80-MS. Mr. Thomas.

Here is a note received by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} this morning. We do not know whether you have any details of Mr. Thomas's complaint, but our opinion is that generally speaking the Phantom brakes can be made both effective and consistent, that with the latest modification they do not suffer from squeaks and they do not thump.

You will see that Mr. Thomas says that the brake leverage to the front was increased in January. Can you tell me if his car had the same treatment as Mr. Fairey's car in this respect ? Can you also give me information as to what exactly the owner's complaint was ?

I feel that this is a case where we can satisfy the customer without doubt if we can only find out what his trouble really is, but neither Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} nor I are going in the neighbourhood of Surrey in the immediate future.
