PROPELLER SHAFT. The mechanics joints of the propeller shaft have remained perfectly oil tight throughout the mileage. We have had no sign of the shaft whirling. On maximum bump it has just fouled the rear crossmember. REAR AXLE. The rear axle has remained a good standard for silence throughout the mileage. Attention is to be paid at the Paris Depot, to the abnormal oil leak, which we have been reporting in our daily reports. SPRINGS. The front and rear springs have been well lubricated by appearance from outside view only. We have not dismantled them as yet. CHASSIS LUBRICATION. The Luvax system fitted to this car has given no trouble whatsoever. We have not been able to discern any leak of oil from any one of the joints. The feeds to the front and rear axles are still in good condition. G.W.H. | ||
