X4516. To Ps. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/MJ.1.1.30. CYLINDER HEAD TUBES. X4516. X7250. We are sorry that you have had trouble with the cylinder head tubes, and agree that the condition of those which you sent us was most deplorable. We are running copper tubes on our next 10,000 miles test... It is unfortunate that Sodium Phosphate causes frothing of the water and so will produce loss of a gallon or so down the steam pipes if the car is driven continuously at high speeds. This does not apply if Sodium Phosphate is used in small quantities, but we think that there is such a risk of a radiator being given a double dose that we have discontinued recommending its use at all. We are afraid that some of your troubles may have been caused through through this peculiarity of the substance. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
