261 Telephone 400 to 405 Hayes. 1x Offices of THE FAIREY AVIATION CO. LTD. HAYES, MIDDLESEX. 9th February, 1937. Dear Robotham, As I have now had new brakes some time, I thought you would be interested to hear how they are getting on. They are a great improvement on the old ones as, after being used continuously over a short space of time, they hardly fade out at all. Until yesterday, there was no sign of any squeaking, but after driving through a certain amount of flooded roads, squeaking was experienced, but not badly. Actually, you probably know that some time ago I had a slight accident with the car and, on this occasion, although I admit that the adjustment of the brakes needed taking up, they failed to work completely. However, your Service Depot was told about this and, when they got the car, they immediately tested the brakes and reported that they were working quite normally. Anyhow, I am very pleased with the brakes as, not only do they not fade, but the actual braking is considerably better than with the previous ones. Thanking you very much and hoping to see you soon. Yours very sincerely, Christopher Stainland | ||
