Report on Tests Carried out on Fans and
Radiator (Vulture) at Brooklands 26.6.34.

The parts tested were a Vulture radiator
and three different fans, the radiator being tested
on the Vulture car (29-EX) and the fans on a standard
Phantom II car, 22-EX.

RADIATOR.
This is a Harrison Vee bonded matrix
radiator, 84 m.m. thick, to LOP. E.84492, LeC.3708-3718,
matrix E.84478.

FANS.
The fans tested were :-
(1) A standard Ph.II fan.
(2) A staggered bladed fan to LeC.3766.
(3) An American type of variable pitch fan,
modified to fit our Ph.II car.

RESULTS.
These are given in a summarised form below -
however, they represent the average of seven or eight
readings for each test.

In accordance with our usual practice, all
water temps. given are actual temperatures less the air
temp. recorded during test. Attached are two diagrams
showing corresponding air temperatures to boil.
