Childs} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}6/MH.{M. Huckerby}22.3.39. 2.B.50. We are returning W.III No.9 unit for fitment into the above car, the existing unit B.V. No.0 to be removed. The following attention should be given to W.III No.9 unit. (1) R.R. ignition distributor which is the latest type DCD.838 does not give the correct governor characteristic. This should be corrected in accordance with curve for Bentley V production. (2) High tension wires to be fitted with correct terminals for the above distributor (3) Front high tension wire bracket does not fit correctly. (4) New ignition coils to be fitted. (5) Leaks from the following require curing:- (a) No.2 water jacket. (b) Hot spot water pipe joint leaks. (c) water outlet at front end of cylinder head.
