To EH. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL. Copy 17th. Mar. 1919. E4/G17.3.19. RE CARBURETTER FOR CHASSIS. X.3511.✓ Referring to your memo concerning the proposed carb-uretter, of which you sent me a blue print, the point about the design which strikes me perhaps as being rather nice, is the fact that you control by throttling the emulsion instead of throttling the petrol. The former seems as if it could be carried out easily, whereas on the contrary no really satisfact-ory method seems to have yet been found to make a variable petrol orifice automatically controlled because the quantities are so fine and the horse power available is so small.
