WRAITH 111 - MODIFIED FRONT CRANKCASE FACING.

Please receive herewith

E.CD.35 Modification to Crankcase and Distributor Drive.

The front facing of crankcase is altered and the distributor facing has been raised .500 in accordance with request in RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}1/LS.12.8.37. to facilitate production.

The raised distributor facing calls for a .500 longer coupling sleeve for distributor drive.

The boss for dynamo drive oil supply has had to be raised to clear the wheelcase flange and the oil pipes should be altered to suit.

We have also shown a slight alteration to the bolt bosses for the dynamo drive housing to make it easier to fit the split pins.

The bolts for the joint of the crankcase halves have been replaced by studs in blind bosses, as requested by Experimental Department, to save the milling for the bolt heads.

The wheelcase flange should be altered to match the crankcase.

These alterations should be made as soon as possible, so as to be included in the next engine built.
