GOSHAWK 11. WHEEL ON RUNNING BOARD. [Handwritten: Y3730 / X4219]

We send you herewith N.sch. 1255 shewing the position of the wheel on the running board for "B" & "D" type cars.

In the case of "D" type cars the wheel has been carried as far back as the front door will allow but in the case of the "B" type cars the wheel has been fixed in such a position that it is reasonably clear of the front tyre on maximum bump.

This necessitates the front of the driving seat door being moved back slightly from the position [Handwritten insertion: of wheel] previously arrived at for chauffeur steering cars.

Please note that the position is 4.75 in front of the dash, and not 5.5 as we originally asked for. This modification was recommended by the coachbuilders. The door itself is shewn wider in accordance with R's wishes.

Will Derby please measure the distance between the front of the door and the back of the dash on the limousine-landaulette 3-Goshawk 11. and inform us, as we wish to ascertain whether we can fit a carrier to this car.
