RECEIVED

RE GOSHAWK 11. ACCELERATOR PEDAL. "B" TYPE. X4267

We send herewith N.sch. 1256 shewing the following modifications to the accelerator pedal shewn on N.sch. 1240.

(1) The fulcrum bracket has been lowered to its original position - .875 above the frame.

(2) The spring slightly modified to suit the new dash bracket. Since the length of the spring has been shortened almost imperceptibly, the loads and deflections remain unchanged. If there are any of the original springs to be used up, they can be fitted to "D" type cars. After that both steerings would have the same spring.

(3) In order to remove the loose footboard it appears necessary to have longer slots for the pedals. We shew that for the accelerator pedal. Will Derby please deal with the clutch and brake pedals in a similar manner. The slots should be as short as possible.

(4) A backward stop is provided on the pedal itself, but we still wish to retain the footboard at the downward stop.

(5) No holes are shewn in the dash brackets. We have asked the coachwork dept. in London to express an opinion, and we shall inform you in a few days as to whether we want the lightening holes or not.
