X1589 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. S/MA. April 9th, 1932. The General Electric Co.Ltd., 30/35 Moor Street, Birmingham. H.T. Rectifying Valve. Dear Sirs, We have been using an Osram Us rectifying valve for some time in conjunction with a sphere-gap Voltmeter for measuring ignition coil voltages. This valve as we have previously informed you, however, suffers from a defect in that the static attraction of the plate causes the filament to bow and touch the plate. We are returning the valve to you for examination and report. For our purpose we would like a valve which would stand a fairly high impedance, as a current of 5 milliamperes would be ample for our requirements. Can you give us any advice in the matter? We should like this valve returned to us on the completion of your examination. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
