Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} E6/G21.12.20. X 4305 RE HEATING OF CARBURATION SYSTEM - 40/50 HP CHASSIS. X 4298 Would you kindly note that Mr. Royce would like experiments made in connection with obtaining satisfactory carburation with bad petrol. He would like to know if hot water jacketing is sufficient for dealing with this bad fuel, provided the water be sufficiently hot. In connection with easy starting, Mr. Royce also suggests an exhaust gas jacket on the tee joint of the induction manifold where the induction pipe is primed. This jacket might be worked in conjunction with the sprayer, preventing hesitation of the engine after the first few fires. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
